We would like to invite you to attend the final DysTEFL 2 – Dyslexia for Teachers of English as a Foreign Language conference, which will provide you with an opportunity to participate in workshops, as well as lectures conducted by renowned experts in Specific Learning Difficulties, and especially teaching EFL to dyslexic students. The conference will be held on 25 June 2016 at the premises of the Faculty of Philology, University of Lodz, Poland (Pomorska 171/173, Lodz).

The aim of the DysTEFL 2 project has been to complement the DysTEFL course by updating and supplementing the course materials, designing a set of tests and procedures for confirming and certifying the learning outcomes. The DysTEFL 2 course is addressed to pre-service and in-service teachers of English as a foreign language, as well as teacher trainers in order to raise their awareness of the type of assistance students with dyslexia require in learning a foreign language, as well as how to accommodate and cater for their needs in foreign language classrooms.

The DysTEFL 2 course materials, which are available in the form of face-to-face, distance learning and self-study courses, provide information on the nature of dyslexia and how it affects the learning of additional languages as well as on effective teaching methods and techniques thanks to which the quality of EFL teaching to students with dyslexia can be improved.
